This parcel of land is situated along the fastest growing corridor between Edmonton and Calgary and has easy access to Highway 2 and Highway 11.
Red Deer has become a very desirable place to live and to do business. The City has seen solid growth over the past few years. With plans to expand its city limits, this property is well suited for development.
- 75 acre parcel of land located along Hwy 11
- Planned subdivision with a good variety of new homes
- Desirable market and a town that maintains a good quality of living.
OBJECTIVE:
Is to monitor the progress of growth as the city limits are expanded and the necessary utility services are connected.
SIZE:
75 acres of land located along highway 11 for easy access within city and surrounding area.
STATUS:
The City of Red Deer is proceeding with the annexation in stages. Due to this development we have frozen the property and are waiting for next annexation and subsequent market appreciation of our parcel of land. The annexation encompasses roughly 100 hectares south of the Red Deer River and east of the Queen Elizabeth II highway; 1,300 hectares along the north side of Red Deer; and 1,600 hectares along the east side of the city.
These growth areas are part of the Inter-municipal Development Plan (IDP); a long-term planning document that provides a framework for cooperative land-use planning between The City of Red Deer and Red Deer County.
When Deer Ridge land comes under the city boundary, we will see a substantial increase in its value.
As soon as the City of Red Deer proceeds with the next annexation, we will then determine the best possible route to follow for development.
